I just played with some pretty stones inside the octagon shaped cut out. The colors i used instinctively to meet the masculine atmosphere of this heavy wooden table.
There are some bordeaux colored smalti from Venice (Italy) circling the heart of the design.
Solid Pine Wood base: Red mahogany stain, satin sheen, lightly distressed.
Solid wood 10" diameter turn base.

Mosaic inlay: 17" (diameter)
